My month in Nails - March 2013

Hey All -

I thought this would be a good idea to go through what I wore on my nails this month! I've been loving having my nails painted even though I suck at it and it's so time consuming! I love the finished look.

I started March with this manicure:

Pink color is the bottle shown. It's Covergirl Outlast stay brilliant nail gloss in Reeliable Red I don't think it's really a red color, but it's a more pinky red. I really liked the color. I wanted to spice it up so I added white polka dots. This color is OPI Alpine Snow. The heart I did with Essie's Penny Talk which is a rose gold color. This isn't exactly how I wanted it to turn out, but I liked it. The Covergirl polish didn't last as long as I thought it would on my nails, but I enjoyed the color and for less than $5 for a bottle, it's totally worth it.
I used this nail tool from the brand Essence to create the polka dots/heart. This can be found at Ulta here

Next came:

This duo chrome polish from Essence in Chic Reloaded. I wore this to a wedding in March that was a 1920's theme and loved it with my black dress. I really liked the color and after a couple of days, I took it off to change it out, but it still looked good. This polish is also rather inexpensive at about $1.99 and I purchased mine at Ulta.

For my birthday I went with:

One of my fave colors right now, mint!! I used the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear nail color in Mint Sorbet. This color is by far one of my favorite nail colors of all time! This brand/formula of nail polishes are one of my favorite. They can be found at any drugstore for about $3 and comes in a variety of colors. I tried to do a gradient effect with the glitter, which I think turned out pretty well. The glitter polish I used was Zoya in Electra. I received this polish in a glossybox a while back and love it. This combo stayed on my nails for I think about a week. I loved it and would wear it again.

I gave my nails a break and rounded out the month with this:

This is the Flower by Drew Barrymore nail polish in What's the Daffodilly-O. I really love the color of this polish as a light color color. Coral is one of my favorite colors and I own many nail polishes in this color but this is the lightest one I have and really enjoy it. I was kind of disappointed by the formula of this nail polish after hearing great thing about them. It didn't last as long as I thought it would without chipping, maybe a couple of days or so. You can find Flower products at select Walmart stores or online here

Hope you enjoyed this post!! Let me know if you have any questions! I would love to see your nail combos for the month!!

I got this idea from a ALoveTart, Mary on Youtube. Her nails are far more better than mine but I love seeing all the colors she uses. You can see her latest video by clicking here. She has lots of other great video's as well and really enjoy watching them!!

Thank you so much for reading!!
